Welcome to Allergy Academy Study Day

GP Conference Day RCGP Joint Event

This is the eleventh in our series of joint study days hosted by the Allergy Academy and the Royal College of General Practitioners. Our aim is to equip healthcare practioners with the skills and confidence necessary to triage, diagnose and manage allergic disease in the community across children and adult patients using remote access with limitted time.

This time we focus particularly on distinct presentations which are especially relevant to adult patients (such as suspected drug and venom allerg presentations) and paediatric presentations (milk allergy and wheezing). This day is particularly targeted towards doctors and nurses working in the primary care setting, but any interested healthcare professionals are welcome to attend.

TEST YOUR CONNECTION

Let’s test your connection to make sure you can join the live event on the 25 June.

Step 1: Scroll down a little bit and press Play

Can you see the video and hear the audio?

Yes

That’s it, you’re done; get yourself a coffee!

No

It seems you may be having some issues. Head to Step 2 below so we can get this fixed.

Step 2:
Follow These Steps

There’s no audio – please ensure you have your headphones or speakers plugged in and turned up. Ensure your device is not muted.

Nothing plays or the content swirls – you may have a slow Internet connection. We always recommend using an ethernet or wired connection (it’s often faster and more reliable than wifi). If you still have issues you should check your connection speed using a speed test application (like www.speedtest.net). You need at least 600kbps/0.6Mbps on the download section to view.

If you still have issues you might want to talk to your IT team because some organisations or firewalls block access to streaming sites such as YouTube, Vimeo and Netflix, if that is the case for you, you need contact your support team to update your settings.
